Cramer-Krasselt, Porsche make Cannes Lion Shortlist for “Porsche x Star Wars: The Designer Alliance.”
Cramer Krasselt (C-K), continues a banner year for award-winning work with “Porsche x Star Wars: The Designer Alliance” making the Shortlist for Entertainment/Brand Integrations & Partnerships in the Cannes Lion International Festival of Creativity, which recognizes the world’s best creative work in 30 categories within the industry. After canceling the 2020 ceremony due to COVID-19, the 2021 awards honored work from the past two years, making the competition tougher than ever before.
Created alongside partners Walt Disney Studios, Lucasfilm, RTTM, PHD and WIRED Brand Labs, C-K’s “Porsche x Star Wars” was a special collaboration between two iconic brands that created something no one had ever seen before – a Porsche-inspired spaceship that will live on in the Star Wars universe. The winning work documented the six-week creative collaboration between Porsche’s design team, led by Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche at Porsche AG, and the team from Lucasfilm led by Doug Chiang, Vice President and Executive Creative Director of Lucasfilm, as they created the new ship. Along the way we created three short teaser films that built massive excitement for the project and a final 12-minute documentary of the team’s entire process.
“Porsche x Star Wars: The Designer Alliance” has also been recognized by numerous awards, including The Webby Awards, One Show, Creative Media Awards, The Shorty Awards, ADC Annual Awards and others.
