Behind the scenes: Local advertising agency donates time to community organizations.
Urban Milwaukee – August 1, 2018
Every summer all over Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Public Library’s “Summer Super Reader” signs popup on hundreds of lawns throughout the city. As Milwaukeeans, we seldom know how these robust community campaigns come to life.
Every year, local advertising agency, Cramer-Krasselt, located in Milwaukee’s Third Ward, donates time to MPL to support this important initiative. The Super Summer Reading Squad kicked off on May 14 and runs through August 25. The agency donated services including design of all campaign elements, media strategy and buying (where to advertise and when), media relations and other deliverables to support the campaign.
“C-K is committed to supporting organizations like the Milwaukee Public Library, MPD and Penfield Children’s Center to highlight the incredible work they do to make Milwaukee a better city. The pro-bono services we provide reinforce our involvement in the community and enrich the lives of our employees,” said Betsy Brown, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Cramer-Krasselt.
The agency provides similar services to the Milwaukee Police Department, Penfield Children’s Center, Sojourner Truth House and other community organizations as part of its commitment to supporting and growing Milwaukee-area non-profits.
“Throughout the years, C-K’s dedicated and extremely talented team has helped support the Milwaukee Public Library’s mission of helping people read, learn, and connect. Our Super Summer Reading Squad is one of our longest-running programs, and they do a fantastic job of making it come to life each year,” said Eileen Force Cahill, MPL’s Community Relations & Engagement Director.
