Media roundup: Cramer-Krasselt and WeatherTech stage “Friendly Interventions.”
This fall, WeatherTech is giving woodland creatures a chance to offer drivers some unsolicited advice in its new campaign, “Friendly Intervention.” Developed in partnership with its full-service agency of record, Cramer-Krasselt (C-K), the campaign consists of two :30 spots, social elements and radio that introduce an unexpected cast of characters who share their perspectives on the best ways to protect vehicles while helping keep drivers, passengers, wildlife, and everyone else on the road safe.
“Friendly Intervention” draws on the unfortunate truth that, no matter how often people are warned, they still get pretty distracted by their phones when they’re driving. A raccoon, skunk, moose, and deer decide to confront a distracted driver and offer him a practical, safe and convenient place to put his phone when he’s in the car…in WeatherTech’s CupFone.
In “The Bear,” a wise and seemingly friendly bear (who oddly likes trucks) confronts a mountain biker who is putting his bike in the bed of his truck without using a WeatherTech ImpactLiner. Once the bear makes his point, he also reminds the man that you should never get too comfortable around a bear.
The work launches across broadcast, network, streaming, and audio. C-K, with its extensive experience as an automotive marketing agency, also handles the brand’s media.
