Chicago Egotist – February 13, 2019

Cramer-Krassalt is expanding its technology capabilities with the hire of Jeff Kean as senior vice president, director of innovative technology. The move comes as the agency sees revenue from digital, social and programmatic media rise to over 60% of the agency’s revenues.

Kean is being tapped to oversee digital innovation, tech, production, UI/UX and C-K’s data-driven, real-time-thinking, tech-integrated processes. He was most recently an independent contractor working with Zimmer Design, Qualcomm and Mirum.

“Jeff understands –and will be a great bridge between—what the industry currently thinks is real time and what real time, data-informed human interactions can and should be for consumers,” noted Rick Hamann, senior vice president, executive creative director. “He will help us continue to close that gap for clients and deliver the kind of work that engages consumers on their terms and across their devices.”

Over the past 15 years Kean has worked to develop and integrate technology, UX, marketing and creative disciplines into client work for Critical Mass, Digitas and Thirdwave LLC. He’s worked for clients across categories including Sprint, Nissan, Whirlpool brands, MillerCoors and others. Kean is based in C-K’s Chicago headquarters but will work across all offices and clients.
